What is Organic Chlorella Powder?
A single-celled, blue-green algae, Chlorella vulgaris is sourced from an island in the South China Sea. Chlorella is cultivated in filtered natural water under strict controls. Chlorella embodies a plethora of key vitamins and minerals including calcium, iron, phosphorous and potassium. The Chlorella cell is protected by a tough wall. This cell wall is broken using high impact jet spraying which preserves the nutritional integrity of the cell contents so that these are accessible and undamaged when consumed. The algae is then dried and ground into powder form. Organic Chlorella Vulgaris Powder is certified 100% organic by the Soil Association under the code GB-ORG-05.
What are the benefits?
Taking 10g (two servings) of Chlorella Powder each day is high in protein which contributes to the growth and maintenance of muscle mass; the potassium contributes to normal muscle function and the maintenance of normal blood pressure; the pantothenic acid contributes to normal synthesis and metabolism of steroid hormones, vitamin D and some neurotransmitters; whilst the iron contributes to normal cognitive function and normal function of the immune system.
